Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the THE TEA Content API and tea.support collect, and why. We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. What we collect
- API keys. When you subscribe, we generate an API key and store it to authenticate your requests.
- Billing details. Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your email address and subscription status; we never see or store your full card number.
- Technical logs. Like any web service, requests may include your IP address and user agent. We use a short-lived counter keyed on your IP or API key purely to enforce rate limits, and may keep aggregate request counts.
2. What we do not collect
We do not run advertising or third-party trackers, we do not sell personal data, and the public API requires no account to browse English content. The documentation site uses no analytics cookies.
3. Processors we use
- Cloudflare — hosting, edge storage (D1/R2/KV), and DNS/email routing for the Service.
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security controls.
4. Email
Mail sent to mail@tea.support is routed to our team inbox via Cloudflare Email Routing. We use your message only to respond to you.
5. Retention
Rate-limit counters expire within minutes. API keys and billing records are kept for as long as your subscription is active and as required for accounting and legal obligations, then deleted.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (primarily your email and API key) by writing to mail@tea.support. Cancelling your subscription stops further billing immediately.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
